As any of my regular readers will tell you, I’ve been a little flower crazy recently… Time to get back to my version of “roots” which are, in fact, the foundation of a city. I’m an urban designer whose passion is the dynamics of a city: its people, its places, its potential.
So it was with great joy this morning that I saw my teacher pulled out a photo she had taken of an industrial landscape somewhere off the New Jersey Turnpike. Right away I was struck by the many ingredients this photo offered up: a harmonious composition with surprisingly vibrant colors. Who would think turquoise would meet yellow ochre and raw sienna in your generic industrial scene? This was going to be a blast to paint!
