Spring has finally decided to make an appearance this week, so I couldn’t wait to go and paint outside!
My morning walk
In today’s post a small photo impression of my morning walk through ‘s-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands—enjoy the first flowers of spring.
My fascination for flowers has already started in my childhood. It was always a joyful moment to see the snowdrops popping out all over the ground in our backyard—I love the simple beauty of snowdrops. While sitting in the backseat of our car, I also can remember the colorful crocus fields through the city.
I get my inspiration from every corner. While walking along the city wall, I was right away struck by the many colors this view offered up: a harmonious color palette of yellows, greens, black and earth colors. I can’t wait to use this color palette in one of my future paintings.
